Husco International HUSCO International decided it was time to address the existing building facade and create an up scale image at their Waukesha facility. HUSCO is a global leader in the development and manufacture of hydraulic and electro hydraulic controls for off-highway and automotive applications. The existing building was built in the 1950’s with numerous additions added as a result of their thriving business successes, resulting in continuous growth. This building had an extremely flat and institutional appearance showing a complete lack of personality. The Owner figured a facade face-lift that had an engineering/technical focus would be appropriate to emulate the same high-tech production of that which was happening on the inside of the building … it was all about IMAGE. PDC Midwest was eager to accept the challenge to combine high-tech style along with purpose and functionality. PDC was determined to create a building façade with a stylish new entry; leading to a new reception and product display area, including a functional mail room and two new conference rooms, all within a very tight budget. The existing parking lot and landscaping was also enhanced to accommodate the dramatic change to the new façade and entryway. PDC designed an asymmetrical, curved façade utilizing high-tech products such as a composite metal panel system with aircraft cable guardrails that outlines the landscaped plaza building entrance, featuring abundant tinted glass. Today HUSCO is extremely pleased with their new state-of-the-art facility, both inside and out.
